The Ukrainian presidency’s chief of staff Andriy Yermak said on Tuesday that Russia must show “very clearly” it wants peace in Ukraine following talks with the US in Saudi Arabia. “Ukraine welcomes this proposal, we consider it positive, we are ready to take such a step. The United States of America has to convince Russia to do this,” Zelensky said of the proposed truce in his evening address. FRANCE 24’s Gulliver Cragg reports from Kyiv.
