Prof. Kishen Kumar Reddy is New JNTU VC

Hyderabad: Prof. T. Kishen Kumar Reddy assumed charge as JNTU-H Vice-Chancellor on Tuesday and chaired a preliminary review on the university’s current status and future plans. His appointment, announced by Governor Jishnu Dev Varma, is for a three-year term.

At the assumption ceremony, rector Dr K. Vijayakumar Reddy, registrar Dr K. Venkateswara Rao, directors of various departments, and affiliated college principals were present.

Prof. Reddy stated, “I will work towards the university’s growth and academic excellence. My focus will be on creating an environment conducive to student research and academic progress.” An expert in mechanical engineering, Prof. Reddy has over 40 years of academic and administrative experience. He is a former JNTU-H rector and former VC of the Pandit Deendayal Petroleum University (PDPU), Gandhinagar and has collaborated on research projects with NASA, AICTE, DRDL, and DMRL. He has received the best teacher award in 2010 and the IAAM medal in 2018.
