A-road reopens following serious crash

The crash occurred on the A361 close to Filkins on the way to Lechlade this morning (Monday, March 31).

Thames Valley Police, paramedics and Thames Valley’s Air Ambulance Service attended the scene and closed the road while advising motorists to find different routes.

A statement from the force this afternoon said: “Following an earlier road traffic collision on the A361 near to Filkins, West Oxfordshire, the road has now re-opened.

“We’d like to thank people for their patience while this was being dealt with.”

Photos from the scene show two vehicles which were involved, one of which appears to have crashed into a tree and sustained serious damage.

It is currently unclear how many casualties were involved.
